URINE/SALIVA TESTING (done at each visit) Non-diagnostic testing of urine and saliva delves into how daily living/nutrition patterns affect functioning of the body to either enhance or diminish health. Each test helps to show how your body is handling what you do, or don't do, for it. It gives the practitioner many clues about how well your body actually uses and assimilates nutrients and eliminates toxins. It also helps in matching specific nutrients and foods to your biochemistry. It provides a focal point from which to learn what consistent habits will enhance your daily body efficiency and, therefore, build the reserves that are essential for good health. (Good health, in our definition, is even more than freedom from disease-it is rejuvenation, restoration, and vitality in all areas of living.)
Urine/saliva testing of this type was first used by Dr. Carey Reams early in this century and has been continually refined by qualified researchers since that time. It is a view of that individual biochemistry that has many implications-nutritional, physical, mental, and emotional-that can help each of us grow healthier.
Ongoing research is regularly improving interpretation of the testing. A computer is used to do the extensive calculations needed to develop the biochemical equation that are your test results. The computer is, however, not the generator of a client's plan. The individual health plan is developed between client and practitioner with the help of the information in the equation.
